To achieve ultimate performance from car amplifiers it is imperative to maintain steady DC power supply. Sometimes the amplifier draws so much current that its supply rail can drop a couple of volts, causing early clipping and distortion. This 1 Farad reservoir capacitor is fitted across the supply rails of the amps and stores enough power to supply the amps during short periods of heavy current draw.New model with voltage monitoring LCD

Features:

  • Gold plated heavy duty terminals
  • LCD voltage readout
  • Improves speaker & amplifier performance
  • Reduces distortion and clipping

Specifications:

  • Capacitance: 1.0 Farad
  • Surge Voltage: 20VDC MAX
  • Rated Working Voltage: 16VDC
  • Initial Charge Current Draw: ~500mA
  • Full Charge Current Draw: ~30mA
  • Working Temperature: < 95°C
  • E.S.R: < 0.00195Ω @ 120Hz 25°C
  • Dimensions: 76mm x 260mm

Functions:

The digital Voltage Display on the Capacitor alloes you to monitor the voltage levels of your car audio system. The Display will activiate when the unit reaches approximately 5 VDC Charge. The Initial display will be 'Lo' which indicates the voltage is too low to be read by the unit. The unit will display the current voltage once the unit reaches 10VDC charge, and the unit will stop charging once it reaches 12VDC. During charge and discharge periods the BLUE LED indicator will flash.
